We’ve found that most people pay more than they should for insurance. As your credit union, we want you to pay as little as possible for your insurance needs, without sacrificing valuable coverage.
Ask your insurer for a list of discounts. You may qualify for a price break that you’re not currently receiving. These often include good student discounts, student away from home discounts, low usage/mileage discounts, etc.
Obtaining collision insurance on your brand-new car probably made a lot of sense. Is your car now much older and not worth all that much? If so, save money by dropping collision coverage. In the alternative, increase your deductible to lower your premium.
Raise your homeowner’s deductible to at least $500. Increasing to $1,000 would be even better. Your premium should beĀ cut dramatically and you won’t be tempted to file for very small claims that could result in increased premiums in future years.
Your credit union has a wholly-owned insurance subsidiary, Day Air Insurance LLC. Give us a call at 937-643-2072 to find out if we can save you money on your insurance needs. For an auto insurance quote, have the VIN of your vehicle available. For a homeowner’s insurance quote, have the declaration page of your existing policy available so we can compare apples to apples. We can also help with other insurance needs like renter’s insurance, pet insurance, identity protection coverage, etc.
